There are answers to the odd numbered practice problems at the end of the book. For best practice, redo the exercises done in class, then try to do the previous test and check your work using the answer key.

week of Feb 20 -24

Dear 4D and 4E students
During the weekend go over the Chemistry handout notes and check if you have any questions.
Do your Chemistry HW (Ch. 11 ex 70 till 82 and Ch. 12 self-check ex 12.1 and from the end of Ch. exercises answer questions 1 till 6).
The topics included in your test on Friday Feb 24 are the following:
Ch. 11 (section 11, 11) Atomic properties and the periodic table/ atomic trends
Ch. 12 (sections 12.1 till 12.4 included) that cover, Types of chemical bonds, electronegativity, bond polarity and dipole moment and stable electron configuration and charge of ions.
Study notes written on your copybook, the handout notes is also a helpful summary and do all related exercises.

week of Jan30- Feb 3

This week we will finalize chapter 2 in physics and in chemistry we will be working on sections 11.11, 12.1 and 12.2.
In general your performance in the last quiz in physics was not satisfactory, so we will have another quiz in chapter two before the test next Tuesday Feb 7. The material included in this test is:
  • Chapter 2 with all of its exercises.
  • The two lab sheets (Lab skills and Conservation of energy in a bouncing ball)
To prepare well for the test:
  • Review all work done in class. you may need to redo most of the exercises.
  • there are additional exercises at the end of the book, try to do some of them.
  • your test will include one exercise that was solved in class, and one or two multiple choice questions from the recommended link for the book's website.
